Fitting In
If you’ve ever moved into a new house you know that putting everything away is a major challenge. In your old place, it would be easy: just put everything in its usual spot where it belongs. But in the new place, you have to make thousands of small decisions to find a new home for every item.
Now that Cornerstone Church has been moved entirely to a single location, it’s been a challenge to find places to put everything. Maybe you have also felt a little out of place, worshiping in a new location and adjusting to a slightly different Sunday morning routine.
But beyond things and physical locations, our challenge will be to continue along a path that forms us into a new church, rather than the same old church in a new location. As we have been discovering lately, God’s work in us changes us.
The important question for each of us is not “How will I fit into the new space?,” but rather, “How will I fit into what God is doing at Cornerstone Church?”
