Bridging the Gap
There’s little doubt that Martin Luther King, Jr. has made the single greatest contribution toward racial reconciliation in our nation. His influence continues to be deeply felt, even many decades after his death.
Despite the progress that has been made since the civil rights movement, it’s clear that much work remains to be done toward racial equality and justice. Unfortunately, we often find ourselves participating in cultural arguments about race that can be more divisive than healing.
What if we were to commit ourselves to a different approach? Instead of aligning ourselves along familiar battle lines, what if we adopted the role of peacemakers? Instead of arguing with each other, what if we seek to reconcile our differences?
In our worship this month, we will focus on the role we can play in bridging the gap. Join us each Sunday as we take on the challenge of actively working toward racial reconciliation!
Blessings,
Pastor Paul Cook
