Family of God
Sometimes people lament the deterioration of families in today’s culture. To be sure, families seem to experience brokenness and unrest frequently these days. But families aren’t disappearing; instead, families often look more different now than they used to. Single parents are common, grandparents are frequent guardians, and many children have multiple sets of parents.
A common response, of course, is simply to complain about families in our changing culture. A better response, however, is to think about the opportunity that these changes bring for the church.
How will our church be a family to those who need one? How will we create a place for trusting, lifelong relationships? How will we be loving sisters and brothers in an expanding family of God?
Blessings,
Pastor Paul Cook
