Character Building

At some point, you have probably been told that unpleasant parts of life “build character.” Maybe you’ve gone through so much in life that you wonder how much more character building you still need!

It’s a simplistic way to view life’s challenges, but there is certainly some truth to the idea. Our experiences in life do have a way of shaping us and changing who we are. And the challenges that we go through do indeed have the potential to make us into better people, even if the process is difficult and unpleasant.

Maybe you’re experiencing some of life’s storms right now. Is it possible to view those challenges as opportunities for growth? Could God help us see not only the difficulty, but also the way that God is making our faith even stronger?
