Everyday Heroes

From time to time we hear a feel-good story about someone who does something heroic. Maybe they stop to assist with a traffic accident, help a neighbor in distress, or disrupt a crime in process. They often say that they were in the right place at the right time, and that anyone else would have done the same thing.

These acts are truly heroic, but sometimes we miss opportunities to help people in need who are around us every day. It’s all too easy to sit on our hands and tell ourselves that someone else will help. The important thing is not doing something exceptional, but simply doing.

Look around for everyday opportunities to take action. How will God use you today?
