Sleepy Church

Sleepy Church

Somnambulism, also known as sleepwalking, is the phenomenon when people are able to get up and walk around while in a state of sleep. But sleepwalking isn’t limited to walking around; people are sometimes able to do complex functions like talking and even driving a car while technically asleep. In many cases sleepwalking may be a mild annoyance but is generally not a big deal. However, it has potential to be very dangerous to sleepwalkers and others.

As we will see this Sunday, Jesus warns Christians who think they are awake and alert, even while they slumber. Is it possible that we are sometimes spiritual sleepwalkers? Is our faith about routine and habit, or about the Spirit of God at work in us? Do we prefer the comfort of familiarity over the challenge of life change? Join us for worship online this Sunday! Jesus is calling his church to wake up!

Blessings,

Pastor Paul Cook
