Who, Me?

Sometimes God works in our lives in ways that we do not anticipate. But always God works to call us to be people who follow the way of Christ.

During our worship over the next few weeks we will be spending some time looking at a painting by Caravaggio titled, The Calling of St. Matthew. This painting portrays the scene in which Jesus approaches Matthew in the middle of counting his money and calls him to follow as a disciple.

Caravaggio’s painting captures Matthew in the moment of his decision: will he continue his life of affluence, or will he follow in the way of Jesus?

I want to encourage you to join us in online worship as we explore the question for ourselves. Will we carry on with business as usual, or will we become followers of Jesus? Invite others to join you in worship beginning this Sunday. You won’t want to miss it!
