Sowing and Reaping

Sowing and Reaping

We’ve all heard the adage, “You reap what you sow.” This saying has its roots in the Bible (see 2 Corinthians 9:6).

This expression holds true in several ways. We often think of it in terms of the consequences of poor actions. For example, if a person habitually steals from their workplace, no one would be surprised when their behavior is discovered and they are fired because of it.

But have you thought of this saying from the perspective of the positive things we do? Instead of griping to everyone around us, what if we use our words to compliment others and lift them up? What if we make a habit of doing unsolicited acts of kindness wherever we see a need?

If we regularly sow seeds of God’s love, what kind of harvest might we expect to reap?

Blessings,
