A Fruitful Earth
One of the unique aspects of life in South Florida is that we essentially have a 12-month growing season. In other parts of the world, particularly those that have winter temperatures below freezing, most plants and crops simply cannot grow outside year round.
But here, especially during the rainy months, everything grows abundantly. Homeowners are constantly mowing their grass, trimming trees, and cutting back plant life.
Whenever I do yard work or when I see huge piles of lawn debris waiting by the street for pickup, it brings to mind the image of God’s creation of earth. The Bible says that God created earth to be teeming with life. In fact, God’s design is for us to be fruitful, multiply, and fill the earth.
As we continue to explore God’s Green Earth during our online worship, we will look more closely at what this means for us. What role will we play as caretakers of a fruitful earth? Join us for worship each week!
Blessings,
Pastor Paul Cook
