New Life
“The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.” Lamentations 3:22-23
Since I am new to Cornerstone, new to Cutler Bay, relatively new to south Florida, and a new wife, everything feels a bit unsettled because everything is new. There is some comfort to be drawn from having a regular rhythm, like waking up and going to bed at the same time. Doing daily devotionals at the same time and having a regular exercise routine are good practices to be put into place. Steadfastness is a virtue! God’s love for us is never ending and we are given each new day as a gift. Some days pass and we want to hold on, like when our children are young and sweet. Other days, the hard days, when a family member dies or we lose a job, that we are so grateful to not always be stuck on that day. We are thankful for the newness of life in those circumstances. God’s mercy is new every day. Thank you, God, for newness and your steadfast love!
