Wise Like an Ant

Summer is often the season of preparation. We prepare for fall, start of school, we use the dusty toys in our garages. A friend told me that if you plant in the rainy season of July then your plants will be fruitful in Florida’s fall. 

Four things on earth are small,
    but they are exceedingly wise:
the ants are a people not strong,
    yet they provide their food in the summer;
(Proverbs 30:24-25)

I love the ant analogy in Proverbs 30:25. Ants are wise. They may be small and seem weak but they have great wisdom! They reserve food for times ahead. They work hard when the time is suitable, keeping an eye on the future and save for when a season comes that is not favorable for gathering food. Are you wise like an ant? What are you doing now that will bear fruit in the months to come?
