God’s Kingdom on Earth

The right response to being given keys to God’s earthly kingdom is thanksgiving and whole-life, “all-in” for Jesus which is proper worship. The scripture also informs us that our life of worship and posture of gratitude should also be one of reverence and awe. The joyful responsibility of being entrusted to “help bring the kingdom come” is serious work, one that we should not be swayed out of doing either by a failure of nerve or if there is a knowledge problem about the “how-to” of today’s church. The mission is still this- to bring God’s kingdom on earth. I put it another way, “what needs doing in our community, and in God’s name?” God’s kingdom is coming one way or the other. The kingdom is coming with or without institutional churches, the non-denom big box church down the road. God invites all to be part of the unshaken kingdom. Don’t you want to be part of bringing it here?!
