Living Like Christ
Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts, praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people. And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved.
Acts 2: 46-47
The New Leadership Model (NLM- where I am both preschool director and pastor of the established congregation and starting a new one with new people) is truly starting to take shape and the outline of how we are to be and do church is changing. Look to the early church for great advice about how we should step out in faith. The believers continued to meet in the temple courts, so we keep coming to worship! They ate regularly together with glad hearts. We continue to praise God, which means we talk regularly about how God is working in our life. We give praise for things that He has done! When we are excited about living as Christ lives and we have Chrisitian fellowship often, we start enjoying the favor of people. As we grow like Christ, we become more loveable, kind, gracious, and usually that endears people to us. The outcome of meeting for worship, eating with joy, praising God, and enjoying favor? The Lord grew the number of people being saved. Their church grew! New people to the faith, new people being baptized. We are embarking on a time of renewal and growth.
