Excited about Your Life

That is why I remind you to fan into flame the gracious gift of God, [that inner fire—the special endowment] which is in you through the laying on of my hands [with those of the elders at your ordination].  (2 Timothy 1:6 – AMP)

If you are a Christian, are you excited about it?  Or have you become so accustomed to the idea of God’s presence in your life that you have lost your zeal and enthusiasm?

God once spoke to my heart that I should always live amazed and not let the things that once excited me about my life in Christ become part of a mundane routine.  And I think that is a good message for all of us.

Paul told Timothy to stir himself up, to fan the flame and rekindle the embers of the fire he once had.  This is great advice.  Don’t let the things that once amazed you – your salvation, God’s unconditional love, His daily provision, and an overcoming life – become mundane.  Choose to wake up each day amazed and excited about your life and your ongoing relationship with God.

Think about how privileged you are to be a child of God.
