When You are Anxious
When I said, “My foot is slipping,” your unfailing love, Lord, supported me. When anxiety was great within me, your consolation brought me joy.
Psalm 94:18-19 (New International Version)
Anxiety and depression are at an all-time high. We are simultaneously more together through social media yet isolated. If feels like we are collectively slipping into a state of being that is unknown but feels ominous. The psalmist stated, “my foot is slipping.” It was not even a fully formed prayer, more just a statement of fact, yet God was there for him, and God will be there for us. When we may not know the words to form a perfect prayer, just state your condition for God already knows our needs. Ask God for help and trust that God will bring us not only consolation but also joy!
In Christ,
