“Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. Whoever believes in me, though they die, yet they will live, and everyone who lives and believes in me will never die. Do you believe this?”
John 11:25-26
The end of Lent is upon us and as Easter approaches, Christ calls us to believe. Lent reminds us of our death, our finitude, and gives us inklings of the hope of Easter. Christ claims in this glorious scripture that He is the resurrection and the life. We have the promise of eternal life that starts now! We will have no end. Death has no sting. It is all hope, a future, and a new life. The little deaths that I have been preaching about give way to knowing how to live this abundant life with Jesus and other believers now. The challenge for us is accepting that this grace, this gift of life is for us. Jesus asks, do you believe this?” Say yes and start truly living now!
