Speaking My Language

Speaking My Language

Imagine you are mingling in a social setting; numerous small conversations are taking place around a large room. In the midst of all that chatter your ears prick up when they hear a few key words of a topic of particular interest to you. Maybe someone’s talking about your favorite sport, or a new mother might grab a few words about colicky babies or sleeping and feeding schedules. If you work in the medical field, certain terminology might rise over the din around you.

It’s amazing how well you hear when people are “speaking your language.” Thankfully, this is exactly how God works. God’s ability to speak to us isn’t limited to certain times or places. Rather, God often has ways of making himself known to us in ways that are real and relevant.

This week, listen for the voice of God in your work and in your play. As you go about your routine, take the time to hear from God. In your conversations and your relationships, listen to God speaking through the people in your life. Join us this Sunday, as we hear from God in our worship!

Blessings,
Pastor Paul Cook
