Justice Is Served?
Few things are more satisfying than seeing justice being served on someone else. Imagine someone rudely cuts you off in traffic and speeds away without the slightest bit of remorse. Then imagine your delight when you later see them pulled over by the police!
Whenever we have been wronged, we know how good it feels to see vengeance against our offenders. And, quite often, they fully deserve it.
But it’s important for us to bear in mind that life isn’t always fair, and people don’t always get the punishment they deserve. Sometimes the people who hurt us seem to get away with it. At the end of the day, our aim in life isn’t to get even with the people who have wounded us. In fact, we become better people when we place our focus on God’s calling for us, and leave the rest in God’s hands.
Blessings,
Pastor Paul Cook
