Winter Blossoms

Winter Blossoms

Right now, much of the nation is experiencing extreme cold weather due to a polar vortex. Here in South Florida we have our chilly days, but nothing like what the rest of the country is going through. In fact, many of us welcome the cool air as a break from our usual heat.

Beyond our personal comfort, chilly weather brings additional benefits. Cool air helps to stimulate the growth of blossoms on many common tropical plants like orchids and Christmas cacti. They can’t tolerate extreme cold, of course, but the cool weather is a necessary part of flower production.

No matter how the weather changes, we’ve come to accept it as an essential part of daily life. In fact, every day offers us an opportunity to experience growth and fruitfulness. Whatever may be going on today, God invites us to blossom not only despite our circumstances but also because of them!

Blessings,
Pastor Paul Cook
