Misery Loves Company?
Lately in our worship we’ve been looking at the biblical figure of Joseph–you know, with the famous multicolor coat. We’ve noticed that the story of his life takes on a multicolor flair as well. He experiences life at the very top and at the very bottom.
This Sunday, we’ll see an episode in Joseph’s life when he was falsely accused and thrown in jail. But rather than wallow in his misery, he relates to his cellmates in a way that changes their life.
Many of us know what it’s like to experience life’s lows–some of us may be there even now. But the powerful part of Joseph’s story is that God is with him in that place, just like God is with you in your place of difficulty.
I invite you to join us for worship online this week as we look deeper into Joseph’s multicolor life!
Blessings,
Pastor Paul Cook
