Louder than Words

Louder than Words

You know the familiar expression: “Actions speak louder than words.” And we all know that the truth of the saying often bears itself out in actual life. Sometimes our words may say one thing, while our actions reveal the truth about them.

But when it comes to racial justice, our words are often silent and our actions are even more so. Many Christians have a difficult time talking about race and they convince themselves that racial injustice is too big to do anything about.

I’d like to suggest that the best way to get started is to begin with ourselves. Take action to inform yourself about racial injustice in America right now. Listen to those who describe ongoing injustice in the 21st century. Your actions speak the loudest, but don’t underestimate the power of your voice speaking out on behalf of the oppressed.

Blessings,
Pastor Paul Cook
