Beautiful Feet

“How, then, can they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them? And how can they preach unless they are sent? As it is written, “How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!” (Romans 10:14-15)

As Christians we have the world’s best news! We know that Christ is risen, that we have been promised abundant life in the here and now and in the life to come. Be the bearers of this great news whenever and wherever you can. John Wesley, the founder of the Methodist movement, preached “I look upon all the world as my parish; thus far I mean, that in whatever part of it I am, I judge it meet, right, and my bounden duty to declare unto all that are willing to hear, the glad tidings of salvation.” –Journal, June 11, 1739. You are sent as part of the priesthood of all believers. You are the bringers of the best news to those around you and around the world. Bear those beautiful feet!
