Sufficient Grace

Sufficient Grace

But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me.  2 Corinthians 12:9 NIV

The Lord is more powerful than we could ever be! It is human nature to want to seem powerful and to feel powerful, so we pretend we do not make mistakes or downplay our weaknesses. It is a much more powerful thing to say, “I made a mess of things. Please forgive me.” The reality is, that no person alive today is perfect or properly powerful in the light of our all-perfect and all-powerful God. Be vulnerable with those closest to you and to those you may have hurt. Admit your mistake. Ask for forgiveness. Even if that person does not forgive you, God will. In the asking you will have opened the possibility to make a transformation in that relationship. Transformation of relationships is when God’s power is on display!

In Christ,
Pastor Elyse
