Take the Word to the People

Take the Word to the People

“Then the master told his servant, ‘Go out to the roads and country lanes and compel them to come in, so that my house will be full.'” Luke 14:23

John Wesley, father of what became the Methodist movement, mirrored Jesus’s ministry to take the Word to where people already gathered. When Wesley discovered people worked the early shift, he preached and brought food to the fields, in response to their daily rhythms. He went out of his way to make faith accessible. How might Cornerstone invite people to a life of faith without expecting them to come into our church building? Check out this Fresh Expressions post for some inspiration.
