Refocus

Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things.  – Philippians 4:8 NIV

When the news, life circumstances, and hurt feelings make you question God’s faithfulness, ask God to refocus your mind on what is noble, pure, lovely, admirable, excellent, or praiseworthy. Sometimes, we need reminding of the positive parts of life and of God’s goodness. Christian community, friendships, and Bible study are so important. It takes others to help us get outside of our patterns of thinking so that our perspectives can be broadened. Reconnect with a fellow Christian friend and see the world with renewed eyes.
